When I read about a internship on Miami's website, I jumped upon seeing that it included web design and development. After a series of interviews, I got an internship with the company, developing new features like a google maps interface to map out honeymoons, along with several other cool interactive features. The project stretched my skills and forced me to get serious about new technologies in web development for the first time since I learned php.

I took the site from a few static html pages, and turned it into a full blown wordpress-driven dynamic site. The new version is built on the same framework at Kings Roundball, offering the ease of use of Wordpress, with a few custom features added to suit the needs of those who will be updating the site.

When I was approached to work on Roundball I was immediately excited. I had the opportunity to be part of the team that started the site in programming class during my senior year of high school and the ability to continue work was a thrilling proposal. I was able to bring the site out of the stone-age, implementing many new features all built on top of a Wordpress backend. The final result was, in my opinion, one of the best local sports sites.
