About the Project
This was the first large project I did while I worked for Watercourse Technology. I was given a set of PSDs and Illustrator files and was presented with the relatively simple task of converting images to a usable site. What was going to be challenging was writing all of the javascript to handle the transitions and animations that the designer included. Early on, we made the decision to not use flash so that users of mobile devices or those without flash installed would be able to view the site as it was intended. jQuery was a huge help here and I was able to provide the requested animations. I was allowed to add animations where there were none in the design to ensure that the pages maintained a familiar motif.After a series of back and forth and a training session we handed the site of to the not so tech savvy artist who was trilled with the new capabilities he had over his previously unusable website.
Status: This project is complete. Client now manages site.
